EA makes $2 billion offer for Take-Two Interactive

February 24th, 2008 by in Xbox 360

This is pretty big stuff folks. Sources are saying that Electronic Arts has made an offer to buy Take-Two Interactive in the amount of $2 billion dollars. TeamXbox is reporting that if the two combine their market caps would be at an estimated $17 billion dollars. It wasn’t long ago that Activision and Vivendi Games came together, with their market cap currently at an estimated $18 billion. If Electronic Arts and Take-Two were to come together, they would have quite a potent library of franchises. Stay tuned for more.

  1. Well if this goes through, there goes the 2K Sports franchise for good. They would probably only keep the MLB series since EA doesn't have a game anymore. That means the NBA and NHL series would likely be axed. Damn, I hope this doesn't go through.
  2. EA gets what EA want.

I hope everyone in that company get genital warts .... on their face!
  3. Welcome to the end of game competition for the sports genre as we know it
  4. Take-Two immediately refused the offer.
  5. yea i hope Take Two gave them the finger during the refusal.
