Just last month American shoppers officially kicked off the holiday shopping season on Black Friday. If you didn’t know, Canadian shoppers have a similar major shopping day called Boxing Day that takes place every December 26th. This year the deals are expected to be big, so Xbox Circle will be feeding our fellow Canadian readers with plenty of details on the deals available in the next couple of days.

Starting things off, Best Buy will be offering the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player for $149.99 CAD on Boxing Day, a savings of $50. Don’t forget that the HD DVD Player comes with King Kong as well as the mail-in offer for an additional 5 free HD DVDs. Future Shop will be offering a Toshiba HD DVD Player at the amazing low price of $99.99 and will package it with 300 and The Bourne Ultimatum. Future Shop will also be selling all HD DVD (and Blu-Ray) movies at just $19.99 each.

Both Best Buy and Future Shop will be offering plenty of deals on Xbox 360 titles. Both retailers will be offering $20 off some of the big new releases, such as Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty 4, and many more. They’ll also be offering many other older titles at just $19.99 each. Hunting for a console? You’ll be able to save $50 at either retailer on Boxing Day.
