Microsoft will be bringing IPTV to the Xbox 360. Microsoft’s Mediaroom will be able to run on both a set-top box and the Xbox 360, and it will be able to support satellite television service if providers are willing to partner up with the company. Xbox 360 owners will be able to get to Mediaroom on the Media blade section of the Xbox 360 dashboard and will act as a set-top box once you select the option. While in Mediaroom, you’ll still have access to all the features on the Xbox 360. You’ll be able to check your friends list, view invites and messages, or access other areas. Mediaroom will only be available from IPTV providers.
