Project Gotham Racing won’t go multiplatform

September 26th, 2007 by in Xbox 360

With the news of Activision acquiring Bizarre Creations today, many have become worried that the popular Project Gotham Racing franchise would be going multiplatform. That will not be the case, as Microsoft owns the PGR franchise. Bizarre, however, has confirmed that one of the new titles being worked on is a racing game. Bizarre is now free to do whatever it likes, as it now is a multiplatform studio. Microsoft has yet to comment on the future of the Project Gotham Racing franchise. If the franchise will continue on, Microsoft could go to another studio.

In other news regarding Activision’s acquisition of Bizarre Creations, it could finally mean that Activision will get involved with the Xbox Live Arcade now that it owns Geometry Wars.
