So I'm trying to play a handful of Married with Children Episodes on my PC, but some problems are coming up. I've got no PC knowledge, so I'd like some help if possible.

Some episodes will actually play, but a couple seconds into the episode it'll skip to another part of that show and just freeze playing unless you manually skip to another scene of the show.

Other episodes won't even start playing on Windows Media Player -
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file... [Close] [More Information]

Using Divx -
Failed to open file. Please check that it is a valid AVI or MPEG-4 file.

Could really use some help here.

What kind of file is it?
Try getting a dixv player or another player other than WMP.

Download Gspot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) and find out exactly what codec it is.
