I just went looking through the news stuff... and back on like the 21st there was a report about it being up for a bit somewhere and some people got it... I however didn't find anything saying it comes out August 1st......

Yea it's out right now but it's not out in Mexico or Germany. Atleast that's what I've been told.

fuckin hell, started the download at 7, as of 11 its not done yet, and wont be for a while. Apparently, my download decided to stop at 46% while i was off watching a movie.

Finally finished.... this shit is awesome! Only beef I had was the framerate seemed to dip a little low at times. Most of the time it was fine, but usually when driving it seemed to only be around 20fps or so, which is just to low. Other than that, it was fun as hell. I will DEFINATLY be buying this.

Way better than GTA. It looks nice ingame (not viewing specific things, but everything as a whole) and plays very intuitively. It's gonna be a hit!

I guess, since you get in trouble for going over 15 gigs in a month. Otherwise it's totally worth it.

You should go pick up this month's version of OXM since the demo is on the disc. You won't regret it, as long as you like GTA III and above.

Downloaded it (took forever), played it, hated it. There is only one word to describe S.R. thus far: CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!

Definately not going to waste my time on this one.

The best part about saints row is driving into head on collisions and watching your opposing driver fly out the windshield.

Ehh, played it, but couldn't really get into it. I liked the fact that they had actors do some of the voice overs. But other than prettier graphics and changing it from the mob to gangs...it seemed like GTAIII. Nothing new what so ever to add.

Add to the fact that alof of GTA functionality is missing...I'll wait for GTAIV as well.

GTA4 isn't out until October 07 matey, that's a long wait. Personally i didn't find Saints Row too bad a game. It's no GTA i agree but it will do me fine until GTA comes out next year. Like i say, 14 months is a long time to wait for GTA whilst in the mean time you could be enjoying SR :high5:

True it is a long wait but I'd rather spend my money on games I really like rather then games that substitute games I like. Saints Row just didn't appeal to me what so ever. It's fun for a bit but it doesn't feel different from Grand Theft Auto except things taken out. And I find it strange how you can get chased by the cops for standing on top of a car but when I murder someone nothing happens. I'm just saving my money for Ninety Nine Nights and Dead Rising.

I would agree with you if:

1. SR didn't have any online functionality.

2. If I considered spending money on Dead Rising or 99 Nights

Since neither of those statements are true, I can't agree. I do, however respect your opinion on SR. It's not a game for everyone, but it is a game for me.
