This seems kinda pointless...my internet is fast enough already. If it sped up downloads tho, thats a different story...

Get on in google!

Probably good for dialuppers, but for BB it is useless. First of all, it uses cacheing to speed things up so you will never know if what you are seeing on a web page is up to date. Second, it uses compression which can actually slow things down for those using a broadband connection.

I thought I read somewhere it was for dial up only....which confused the hell out of me. Perhaps it was just reported wrong, coz that doesnt make sence.

They just did a piece on this for g4/techtv. It is actually designed for broadband and google says it really doesn't help dial-up as much as other web accelerators out there...

You do realize that those are security concerns on a publicly accessable computer? Who cares if your computer at home remembers your XO password? Either way, I'm sure that problem will be worked out as this is still in beta.

Interesting read. Doesn't matter as I ended up turning it off anyways. A good reason not to use it is while it saves me a whopping 1 minute of browse time a week, it also saps system resources.

Noone on staff here should be using that - after reading that thread that Duke put, I figured that was pretty clear.
