Looks like gold-leaf to me. Check out the pic on the bottom left of just the Xbox. You can see it all over the place.

You sure it's being advertised as a "gold plated Xbox"? Looks like they didn't try to hide the fact that it is spray painted, judging from the images.

It isnt spray painted. Its called gold leaf. It is thin gold foil applied with a brush. Probably cheaper than spray paint.
