I've had my 360 since launch, apparently it took its time in breaking down

I've had my 360 since launch and it just now started messing up. I was playing Oblivion and and all of thge sudden i hear this grinding noice. I take my disc out of the console and close the disc drive. It then promply opens back up. Curious, I close it again. It opens right back up. I get frustrated, close it, and turn off the console. It then opens again, THEN shut down. Pretty much, my disc drive refuses to close. Any idea whats wrong and has anyone else had this problem?

Put a piece of bologna in your drive and close it. That should work. If not, leave the bologna in the drive, and put you who box in the microwave. Use the "popcorn" setting. After popping, you should be able to download World of Warcraft for free.

There's definitely something wrong. Since I'm no good at this kind of advice I'd just try and send it in for repairs or get it replaced. Remember if you do hold on to the hard drive.

My 360 makes this wierd pop noise randomly while its not even on.....I have a feeling my 360 is gonig to die one of these days

I'm calling Microsoft on Monday, but I don't know if they'll do anything since my 90-day warranty ran out back in Feb.

This isn't making me feel good about my new 360. But, I bought a store warranty so I guess it's all good.

Seriously, call 1-800-4MYXBOX don't tell them any thing is wrong and tell them you want to purchase a 1 or 2 year warranty. give them your credit card number and you have your warranty! It's just like the unlimited gold glitch in Oblivion!
