I have never been in a serious clan on any of the games I play so this doesnt really bother me.

If this happens, prepare to see XO bring back their clan forums. A few of us had great ideas with how we were going to do a ladder system, with clan forums, but once H2 came out, we were dead in the water.
I just don't think this is a good idea though. I liked to have my 'group' of friends on there - regardless if they were a clan or not.

Yeah, this just doesn't seem right. Seems to me the majority of my friends list are in one clan or another (at least on Halo), and I usually can't play more than one random MM game w/out getting an invite to one.

Ubisoft is big. Big enough to get their arses sued off by M$. I doubt they're going to drop any sensitive information like that on a whim. Could have just been a screw up, but doubtful. More likely M$ had them leak a rumor to test the waters for customer reaction. So if you want clan support, then WHINE LOUD!

thats BS. clans is one of the major reasons why XBL was created. no more of that gamespy or xbc to take care of clans. XBC is still the shiz cause of halo:ce though.
i think it was a mistake on the article's part. cause there is no dircet quote. the news writer may have misinterpreted a statment.

yeah, i doubt that if that article is even true, that it isn't talking about all of xbl cuz there are a ton of clans and people use them all the time.
