those are USB ports on the back, right?

Yeah. Two normal ones, then a camera looking one. I am sure one of hte lager ones will be fore connecting to the 360, then the other is so your not loosing a USB port. The camera one is probably just for added compatablity or something

HDMI isn't needed for 720p and 1080i which is what Blu Ray and HD-DVD run at. Personally I'm not a fan of it. It's like adding another power brick to the system making it even more unwieldy and awkward to place. I also have to ask, why the book motif?

Anything on HDMI? I haven't been reading up on this, but should be...
it doesnt look like HDMI is going to be on this thing, Major Nelson interview the MS hardware guy and he just gave the PC answer like we are always looking for wars to improve it blah blah...basically no there is no HDMI for this
