Is there a way to take and have the console start up on the dashboard intstead of loading whatever game is in the drive?

I've been playing alot of Live Aracde games lately and it's annoying if the wife has a game in the drive.

I've looked through the settings and couldn't find anything, but considering how some things are difficult to find (at least for me) for certain settings I figured I'd check here.

Not that I've found. I just turn on the system by hitting the eject button then just let it sit like that if I'm really lazy.

Well that sucks. I keep my controllers on a table right next to the couch and I always use them to turn the system on so was hoping that someone would say yes...bah!!

Well if there is a game in the console when you turn it on, just wait for it to get to the screen with the company name, then hit the guide button then hit Y, and it will take you to the dashboard. Thats they only way I can think of it.

If that's the case then you should just keep the DVD remote on the table as well (if you have one), that way you can just turn on the 360 with the remote. Also, if she's got a game in the 360 and you boot it up just go to the dashboard by hitting the "X" on the controller. If not that backhand your wife for not cleaning up when she's done playing :whore: then give her a quickie :high5:

I just press eject on my media remote. It turns on the 360 and opens the drive so it boots directly to the dashboard. It's not perfect but...

If you have a media remore, press the Windows Media button at the bottom of the remore. This will boot the Xbox to the Media menu, just tap b once or twice and you're at the dashboard.
