haha..its just that its a closed quarter combat map....im always dual weilding using the smg and plasma rifle. its annoying to get hit by a battle rifle from someone camping at a distance. but i will always carry the battle rifle on that map in case i have to deal with those campers sitting on top and shooting ppl down below.

it's hard to complain about camping when you can 'nade any location from practicly everywhere on the map. the spawns can be pretty ghey sometimes, but that's halo 2 for you. it's a little cramped for 4v4's and ffa's, but other than that it's not too bad. and ofcourse all maps are better when you spawn with a BR :)

omg, u cannot be more correct about that. if i had it my way, EVERY map would have BR, and there wouldnt be ANY sword ANYWHERE!, and rockets only on burial mounds, coag, containment, and water works. i would also take out the turrets on foundation. i'd quit playing matchmaking, and go play BR start customs. the only decent MM games are the ones where you start out w/ a BR anyways. starting with smg's just puts even more emphasis on power weapons and spawn killing.

Dual wielding kinda lame? Try really lame. Now more than ever that the only dual wielding combos that took skill to use are now weak(Dual pistols, Pistol and smg). I will quit MM once I get a 25 only because 25 looks really cool. I care more about my win/losses than the level.

When you say they are "camping" and are "campers" it sure seems like you consider it a cheap tactic, seeing as how that is basically how those words originated.

Exactly, stop dualing, there is no excuse for you to be on top of the platforms without a battle rifle. Once you drop off the side there is plenty of cover, hitting someone from across the map with a grenade who is also in those trenches is no easy feat.

before the patch it was a little too dominating, now it's underpowered and has crap accuracy. it's only usefull at very close range because of it's crap accuracy(otherwise you'll get BR'ed), and you have to reload after every kill...which are it's main drawbacks besides not being able to throw nades, imo. before the patch you could get two kills without having to reload if you were half way accurate. now, no one that i have seen even bothers to grab duel mags anymore.

the real problem has to do with the fact that (correct me if I wrong) that not many people here play alot of skirmish. minor clan matches are played off the skirmish playlist and if you don't play skirmish alot ... you will not know the strategies on maps ... the way to beef up our minors team is for the members of the clan to concentrate on playing more skirmish. As the people in the clan play more skirmish then people will gel together better ... its not like slayer although killing the other team helps alot ...

I agree with you partially Dirty. But I think the real problem is is that I and most of my Friends List Only play MLG settings, so when we get into a smg-start game we get screwed b/c they suck. True most people dont paly skirmish but thats b/c it has such a bad rap b/c of standbyers and not to mention some bad gametypes. For Example I Flag CTF Coag and Assault Burial Mounds. i think people(good peopel) would play matchmaking alot more if bungie would make some simple adgustments, like not putting the banshee on a rifles game at ascension!

I agree that on some maps you should start with a BR but they have ruined some maps by giving it a BR start like Beaver Creek .. what is everyone's problem with the SMG? Yes ... if you have an SMG and they have a BR then you are smoked but the same is true if you have any short range weapon and some has a BR. I like the up close dual wielding/melee/ grenaDES battles instead of just sitting back strafing side to side and repeatedly shooting the BR (but that is just me). If you want to to play customs gametypes and pretend that you are playing in MLG tournaments then that is your perogative BUT if you want to be part of a clan and be competitive on the CLan Match system that bungie has provided (which is by far the best system on XBL to date) then you need to learn how to play under the settings used by the playlist ... otherwise just drop out of the clan because you are of no use to us (not directed at anyone in particular, just a general statement)

standbying isn't all that much of a problem anymore either ... its a once in awhile thing

The problem is people like my self who played Halo:CE always started with a good starting weapon. The smg, byitself, is horrible and i doubt any halo player would disagree. Halo should not be a game about who has the most weapons. It makes the game too random; it should be on an equal playing field. The smg requires substantially less skill to use then the BR(once again no one will disagree with that). I agree Dirty that the Clan system that is provided is great, its bungie's gametypes that I and many other players disagree with and if we dont like the setting bungie is providing, we should try and change it. Thats why we have seen better gametypes in MM like BR Beaver Creek. Why?, because in beaver creek games with smg start the team that gets(such as spawning closer) the power weapons like sniper/RL has a better chance of winning. The BR levels the playing feild ALOT. And im sure if you've palyed MLG customs(idk if you have/have not) quite often there are close ranges melee/grenade battles. I am not saying I will not play MM games types, I will and i will practice them, but i have a right to complain as a consumer. This is just my opinion, not a personal attack, just how a feel.

This is pure gold, the whole point of clans is to have clan matches. Someone challenges your clan you ante up and take em on, you don't turn tail and run claiming "we are in a clan but we don't want to play with you because you are being childish!"

To second Stifler, just let it drop guys. I think it's pretty silly that they don't want to play or that they're even involved, but that's their choice.

The two clans run differently. Ours is run by the members for the members, theirs seems to be some sort of extension of their website. I prefer the former, but diff'rnt strokes and all that. In any case, don't go trolling over there, and try to keep the badmouthing to a minimum here. I understand that clan stuff often goes hand in hand with trash talking, but at a certain point it's just beating a dead horse.

Hopefully you guys will get your game in someday.
