Lies. I said from the get go that he was a piss poor acquisition. His K/BB and K/9 ratios were horrible last season, and they're even worse this year. John Schuerholz, as he sometimes does, succomed to pressure to aquire an "established" closer as apposed to using an inhouse option that would have been better. Jose Capallen, whom JS traded to the Brewers for Kolb would have been great closer material. High Ks and a dominating fastball. He would have been Smoltz-lite in a few years. His only real drawback was his lack of a second "out pitch", but Kolb doesn't have an outpitch. All he does is walk people. What a chump.
