PSP owners there is an update ready.

Just DLed it. It raises the version to like 1.51. Its 14mb but once you install it you can delete it off your stick. You also need to plug your PSP into the power unit to instal. Good stuff, I hope we see an update for using pics for backgrounds and dif music formats.

Its mostly or infact just a security update. Nothing big as far as I know.

The update will make the firmware harder to hack. I will not update my PSP until I see some quality stuff from Sony. Until then, I will wait on some good homebrew programs...

Until then, I will wait on some good homebrew programs...I'm going to see what the homebrew community does as well before updating the firmware. I bet as soon as (or shortly thereafter) I update the firmware to 1.51, they'll have finally beaten the 1.5 defenses and come out with SNES emulators.

No sony just sent out txt files filled wiht 1's and 0's for no reason what so ever :P
