With XSATA, the latest devious device from Datel, you can free up hard drive space by transferring content between your console and your PC. You need never run out of hard drive space on your XB360 again!

Using your Xbox 360 file manager software such as the free PC app Xplorer 360, you can transfer materials from your console’s hard drive to your PC, using your computer’s hard disc space to store demos, game saves and other such materials you’re not currently using. When you need them again, just transfer back to the XB360’s drive. Once the data is on your PC, you can email anything that’s not locked to your machine or L!VE account to your friends for them to use on their own consoles too.

XSATA is a plug-and-play device that sits between your XB360’s hard drive and the console itself. There’s no need to remove your XB360’s hard drive to use it. The PC and the 360 can then ‘share’ the HDD so it can remain in place at all times. To connect, just plug the supplied cable into the High Speed USB port on the back of XSATA and into any spare USB port on your PC. XSATA is USB 2.0-compatible, so you can expect ultra-fast transfer speeds of up to 480mbps. It looks great too, with blue laser light giving a real cool edge to your console.

That looks pretty dam slick. And it's probably going to lead to the easiest way to hack your system...

Not bad, although I'd have to take it apart and replace the "blue laser light" with some green led's. I think it would fit the look of the console much better.

Ya, I wish they would have made it with green led or all white to match your case

I think its a stupid idea. I also think its ugly. I don't like yankeez. XSATA is a stupid name. It would really only be good for storing demos, but who has a need to do that? I have only used like 3GB on my hard drive, I don't need more space. I am tired.

WTF?

What's the point of it? Your probably going to pay an assload ofr a cheapy looking piece of plastic that allows you to store demos on your PC when you have many gigs free on your 360?

Music and shit is already on PC, so that earns youa shitload of room. If you fill your hard drive off save games and demos, chances are you have a few demos you can afford to delete.

The *ONLY* benifit this has is to be able to give free downloadable contest and demos to someone who doesn't have high-speed internet, and therefor no XBL to download them self. In that case, they still need to rely on someone else to download it, transfer it, and find a way to get it to them, then they also need to have one of these stupid things to put it on their 360. Where the hell is the practicality of that?

This thing will probably end up being garbage to the average consumer, and a gateway to the 360 for pirates. Awesome!

Can't see it really going anywhere. . . wasn't it stuff like this that Pelican got into on the PSP that caused things to catch on fire?

I thinik its pretty cool if you have problems with space on your 360. Myself, I only download the demo and delete it as soon as I'm done with it so I always have like 11gigs of space remaining. I dont put music on the HDD also.
