Price drop $230.
Don't want to spend 10 minutes on an ad if no one's interested.
It's 3DFuzion 7800GT for PCI-Express. It's about 6 months old and still under the 3 year manufacturer's warranty.
I post pictures of the card and its box upon request.

Has it been OC'd? What are the stock speeds for the one you have?

Viper, if you remember I used to have 4 of these. Sold two right off the bat and kept the other two for SLI. Got scammed out of $350 (don't ask how, I'd REALLY rather not talk about it... trying to forget) and sold one of my SLI cards to compensate for the loss.. I was doing most of my gaming on the X360 anyway. Now I exchanged my Oblivion on the X360 for the PC version (mods rule and really fix the game) so I'm running on a single 7800GT. Average framerate at 1680x1050 with HDR and eye candy is between 25-35 outdoors and 30-70 indoors. I already put in an order for a 7900GT, should be on my doorstep when I get off from work.
The 7900GT is a temporary solution.. should hold me over until the next upgrade (M2, DX10 cards.. you know the drill).
Bonehead, the card comes stock at 400/1000. Yup, those are the reference card speeds as this is a reference card, no bells or whistles. I've done some VERY conservative overclocking, only up to 435/1150 (could probably go higher, but I'd never sacrifice stability for 1 or 2fps. Evga and BFG cards come in at what? 450/1200 stock? Just to give you an idea.

Sure, I know the drill. The 7900GT is a fine card. Its basically a 90nm 7800GTX, but its price is choice.
However, far as AM2 goes, stear clear of it my fine friend. It offers nothing you need, not right now anyways. All it is is Socket 939 with DDR2. There is no other improvement. Sinec the difference between DDR1 and DDR2 is negligable... forget it. Wait till the next socket, which will support GDDR3. That my fried... will be some fast stuff. System memory as fast as Video Memory... how sexellent is that?
EDIT: Nice price BTW. You put a thread up on [H]?

Good to know, you probably saved me a lot of pointless upgrading. :high5:
I'm little disspointed in the 7900GT, was hoping it would really stiff-arm the 7800GTX, but it does by only a few frames. Still, cooler, quiter, and smaller doesn't hurt! Should get a noticable boost from a 7800GT, I'm just glad it's only a temporary solution..
And yeah, I have it up at [H] and Anandtech. Dropping the price down to $230 shipped. No one's biting.

How on earth could you be disapointed with that. Its a $300 card, the 7800GTX is still floating around $400+. It outperformes it slightly, runs cooler, and being 90nm has greater OCing headroom.

I was just hoping the 7900GT would all out thwamp (made a word up) the 7800GTX, yet they're somewhat comparable.

Can I run this card SLI with my eVGA 7800GT, or do they both have to be the same model/manufacturer?

Yep. The latest nvidia drivers allow you to run different manufactures SLI'ed as long as its still the same card.
EDIT: Also Rec, 3DFuzion is BFG. It's basically a new name they manufacture cards under that are not factory overclocked and do not carry the lifetime warrenty. Its still the same manufactuerer, so you know your getting a quality product.

The pleasure was all mine.
Someone take this off my hands! The 7900GT comes in today. Too bad we can't mix and match different models. 7800GT + 7900GT SLI would rock faces.

I was considering it, but my wife doesn't want me to spend more money on computer stuff right now. We just built the rig, I just spent some cash upgrading my laptop.
Sorry man.. I tried.
