This game has owned me. Today I was getting alittle frustrated, but that is just because I'm not good at tuning yet.
I did a pretty good job on the MiniCopper, I got it taking corners nicely. But my other cars I just can't get any good setups worked out.

Well that was funny, some one sucks at racing games, that is the only explanation for someone quiting so quickly at them :) lol

Yea, sometimes it pisses me off too, but it's my mistakes. On the last lap I always break way to late and go off the track. So now I'm just gonna take it easy, and keep the lead driving "slow, but fast"

its awesome (once you get the hang of it) just follow the green line and brake when it turns red, not to hard, once you get used to turning you can do it without the line. anyway its cool becuase you can train an artificial intelligence to drive races for you. it takes your skills and races for you, its pretty cool but you have to pay it. customizing the cars are awesome, i swear you can do about anything and everything.

Well like I modified a car. Put everything there is to upgrade and kept it in it's class. so the top speed was 7.2. When I tuned it, it turned to an 8.3 and out runs a stock enzo

The key thing to turning in Forza is SLOWING DOWN. Heh, lots of poeple don't understand this. Just try to hit the brakes hard before a corner, so that you can accelerate through the turn. Just like in real life.

That's what sucks about playing online...
I slow down for the turn and some JA comes flying into the corner about 40mph faster then anyone else and just rams me off the road.

Ah, young padawans, the Forza is not w/ me. :p
I want to want to play this, but the want isn't that wanting. (?) Racing games are never something I just HAVE to play. If I feel like hauling ass around a track, I'll just pop in F-Zero GX on the Cube.

See Thrash, Forza isn't just about the racing, it's about the whole car experience. From designing logo's, collecting cars, performance tweaking them and buying cool designed cars from other poeple online. It's just a huge car show, it's sweet. Ofcourse, the core gameplay is racing but it's simulation racing, so it's not all about going 300mph around every course. It's about tacticle racing where slowing down is just as important as speeding up.
Anyway, I want to get some of this group racing action happening. Let's set up a day and time where we will all be on so we can find out what it's all about. Don't forget to use time zones in your availability.

doing that always makes me slide, smokes the tires and leaves tire marks, all the CPU cars never seem to slide or make tire marks, is it cause they slow down alot more than me or cause the CPU cars dont make tire marks?
u lose speed when u slide, i need to get a wheel or something the xbox controller sucks, some of the sliding is probably cause when u steer its hard to keep the joystick halfway so u pull it all the way to the right or left and that makes it slide too
do u guys slide alot? on sharper turns its almost impossible not to slide

I would get this game, but I recently bought midnight club 3, and I don't really need 2 fairly new racing games...

well I haven't played this game, but Midnight Club 3 is amazing.
the cars are so customizable and both offline and online play are great.

I tend to screech around corners occasionally, but it's usually when I take corners a little too fast. Sometimes I use a slide to make a corner though. If I come in too steep and it seems my car won't make the corner, I tap the handbrake and slide it around.
:)
When I am unintentionally skidding though, I try to quickly straighten out and it usually helps. It's hard to describe in text, but I don't really stop turning, but I straighten out. heh.

Forza IS gran turismo, only moreso. Soooo.. if you like gran turismo, you'll love forza, cause its more than turismo ever was... but if you don't like the sim gameplay, its probably not for you.

For some reason the single player career mode didnt really suck me in that much. The first couple of races did, but once I got into the professional circuit I just lost interest. What I really like doing is online career mode, making money and just racing with different people. I hate racing with Europeans though. Those a5sholes play dirty. They bump into eachother and sh1t. By the time you reach the finish like all your money goes to damages.
