When youre done and want to unplug it, do you get the "Do Not Disonnect" mesage? And if you do, do you do anything special, or just ignore the message?
And blonks, I swear to God, if you come into this thread with nothing more to offer than, "Should have gotten a Creative" and all that crap, I'll come to Idaho and smack you.

I turn off my 360 before disconnecting my iPod. That way I know it's safe.

ya, jeez, its the 21st century. haha i kid i kid. but the songs have to be in mp3 or wav format, so if you converted your songs to m4a, like me, they wont play.

Later all~
I understand what you're saying. This is why I said that I turn it off before I disconnect. I'm not sure of all the gorey details, but when you turn off your computer/xbox when the ipod is connected it resets itself (nicely) and goes into normal "I'm-not-connected-to-anything-mode" which means you can connect or disconnect the cables as you please.
Thus, the only way I'm sure it's okay to unplug my iPod is when the 360 is not on. I suppose there may be some way in the menus, that just seems like more of a pain. You would have thought MS would make it obvious...
When I'm looking at pictures off my digital camera I turn the camera off, first.

So can you import the songs on your iPod directly to your 360's harddrive? What about importing playlists? How far does this compatibility go?? Come, man, tell us what you saw!

I use my ipod in my 360 once in a while. If you use aac then you should download that file through marketplace to allow it to work. That still does not make a difference when you use media connect for some reason.
Anyway, I find that the 360 kills the iPods battery, the one with the hard drive. It gets like an hour on a full charge because the hard drive keeps spinning the entire time.

That's odd.. The 360 actually charges my Nano... I would have thought it would do the same for the hard drive ones...
