Right on. Been hearing great things from importers, and looks like IGN is giving it some love (http://ds.ign.com/articles/629/629012p1.html).

Matter of fact, getting good scores across the board (http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/922233.asp). An 86% average ain't too shabby.

Get Lumines.

;)

Meteos looks interesting, if not a bit confusing. :D

I love and I mean love puzzle games, as does my wife. So when I seen that this game is getting great reviews from every place I can find I was excited. But the game looks odd. I dont know we shall see. I got Kirby two days ago and maybe 10 GBA games I need to play atm. So we shall see.

Q Entertainment (is that right?) made both games. I've heard plenty about Lumines, but since I don't own, or plan to own, a PSP, it's Meteos all the way for me.

And I can feel your pain, Brevity. I need to just stop buying games for a couple months and beat the ones I own (and care to put the time into). I'm so backlogged it's not even funny, but I can't seem to resist new, top-shelf titles when they're release, either. Thank god my PC can't run some of the new stuff, or I'd be in a world of hurt gaming wise.

I've been watching some Meteos vids, and man, game looks insane. Like Tetris taking the Barry Bond's route to stardom...all 'roids. I remember Tetris vividly. It was the first puzzle video game I ever played, and my friends and I used to play it for hours upon hours. I remember thinking how 'punk rock' Tetris was, for it's simplicity of mechanics, and it's wicked difficulty.

I hope Metoes offers that in the single player, something you can never truly beat, while still allowing for a meaty mutliplayer mode. I have to say, I love what I'm seeing going on in the gaming world right now. A whole mountain of cash being thrown at it, and we're slowly benifitting from the fallout.

:D

Yep; it's Q entertainment, also known as "Q?".

Too bad Lumines got stolen along with my PSP, and it never made its way back wqith my PSP. I need to get that game again.

Okay, got my copy today.

Took a couple plays, but now that I have the hang of it somewhat, I have to say I'm impressed. Glad I waited to pick up a DS, as my first two purchases have already shown to me exactly what I hoped from the handheld - innovative, addictive, excellent gaming. Kirby Canvas Curse is just a ton of fun, and great to simply roll around in and explore. Meteos, now, is frantic, fast paced, and has art design coming out it's nostrils. Totally addictive game. It's Tetris turned on it's head. When you get great launches put together, you can go from a screen full of meteos (the blocks, essentially), to a nearly empty screen. Sound, graphics, and all are top notch, and the stylus works it's magic easily. Great 'feely-touchy' game, even moreso than Kirby. And w/ tons of unlockables, a variety of modes, 4 player single or multi-pack play, fairly deep statistic tracking, slick art direction, and a bit of humor to boot (all I'll say is three words....'The Galactic Fork' ), this game is handheld fun at it's most addictive.

Wish I could play some of you guys, but guess I'll have to hold off on the multi until the LAN party I'm having next week.

Man, this game though. And I've never really loved puzzle games, either.

You can play this game and any other DS multi player game through tunnel software which there are a few out there. Mention it over at Mojo. When I get it I will let you know. I might pick it up tomorrow... I love puzzle games but I am playing the hell out of FFTA atm.

I gotta get a copy of FFTA. Wanted to play that game for a long time. Saw Tactics Ogre at GS the other day for around $30, and have heard nothing but great things about it.

On the Meteos tip, did you ever pick it up?

I beat it in about 60, but 2 hitting an end boss is weak :(

Yeah, Kirby is sublime. I had no idea the touchscreen was so responsive. Meteos is maybe not as much 'fun', in a sense, but it's a seriously challenging puzzler w/ a lot of variety.

And 60-80 hours for FFTA???? Must.have.game. :ninja:

I listed FFTA on my TGN account. Do you have an account on there? If so i will scan your list for a possible trade.

No, I don't. And really, after my big sell-off earlier this year, I don't have a lot I'd be willing to trade. Anything in particular you might be looking for, Brevity?

Actually, now that I look, I do have Jade Empire Limited Edition (excellent condition) and Brothers In Arms (also excellent) for Xbox that I'd be willing to trade.

If your serious, PM me. I almost picked up an FFTA cart today for $20, but remembered I hadn't heard back from you.

I'll throw in something extra, even. But whatever, PM kind sir! :ninja:
