Problems with replacement power cord?

Every few days or so, the red safety thing (not sure what it is called) pops up on the cord, and this has happened to me multiple times while I've been playing. It has nothing to do with fuses, because none of the other electronics in the area (same outlet even) stay on when my Xbox shuts off randomly. Anyways, it is a bitch when your playing online. Has anyone else had any problems like this?

I had it popout once during a lightning storm. I think the slightest power surge can cause it to pop. Check to see what else is plugged in on that fuse. A fridgerator, airconditioner, etc., can cause little power spikes in the line.
