Sega will release Virtual Tennis 3 this March and will also be the first game with native 1080p support for the Xbox 360.

They are not the only one to do so.* Electronic Arts has also announced that NBA Street Homecourt will be released this February, in time to actually beat the release of Virtual Tennis.

Most of the HD boxes out there don't even support 1080p but even so, it has to be better than the standard 720.* It will be interesting to see how it renders on my native 1080i box.

Sony has promised games at these resolutions with nothing to show as of yet.* Again, the 360 has beat them to the punch.* It probably won't be too long though before Sony catches up.

I have an older HDTV, and I can only get 1080i via the DVI connection on it, needless to say, I can only play in 480p. I'll be upgrading to a new HDTV when all the new 2007 models are released this spring. I'm not really enthused about 1080p games, as the hardware itself isn't capable of displaying that resolution. MS updated 360s with a scaler via a LIVE update, so at this time we don't know how the game will look with the scaler. Personally I'd rather play 360 in 720p as that is it's native resolution.

The Xbox 360 version of Virtua Tennis 3 can be played online, unlike the Playstation 3 version.

And Game Informer magazine recently compared the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of NBA Street: Homecourt and F.E.A.R., and they said that both of those games have better graphics on the Xbox 360.

This is just like the way Gamespot compared every game on both systems, and they said that every game on both systems is better on the Xbox 360 for four overall reasons: The Xbox 360 has more polygon detail that is also sharper in each frame of animation; The Xbox 360 has faster load times because the Xbox 360 has a data transfer rate of 16MB per second compared to only 9MB per second on the Playstation 3, The Xbox 360 has better lighting and shading because the Xbox 360 Graphics Processing Unit is based on Unified Shader technology--the same technology that is now used in Windows Vista DirectX 10; and The Xbox 360 has smoother framerates because it uses a superior form of Unified RAM, as well as a tri-core CPU architecture that is far superior to the outdated parallel processing architecture of the Playstation 3.

I think it is a shame that all of the third-party games from EA Sports, and 2K Sports, and all of those games from companies like Ubisoft and Activision don't allow you to talk online while you are playing on the Playstation 3.

For example, on the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty 3, you can use the Headset that came with your system to talk to other people using Online Voice-Chat while you are playing. Every Xbox 360 game lets you talk to the person you are playing with online.

But with the Playstation 3 you can't do that--the Playstation 3 version of Call of Duty 3, and all the EA Sports games and all the 2K sports games do NOT allow you to talk to the people you are playing with online!!! The reason for this is because Sony does NOT include a headset with either version of the Playstation 3, so the third-party companies don't support that feature. Those third-party game companies are obviously not motivated to support features that Sony doesn't even bother to include with the Playstation 3. Not being able to talk to the person you are playing with online takes a LOT of the fun out of the games!!!

Sony doesn't even bother to include high-definition cables with either version of the Playstation 3...and that is just rediculous!

Just like how the Playstation 3 does NOT include rumble/vibration in the controller. That also takes a LOT of the fun out of playing games like boxing, sports, shooting games, and many others. You can't feel yourself getting hit, you can't feel it when you hit someone else, you can't feel it when you shoot a gun, you can't feel your heart beating when there is excitement in the game.

Sony Europe even has announced that the Playstation is only compatible with "a limited number" of Playstation 2 games. That SUCKS!!! It means Sony Europe is charging the European consumers more money for the Playstation 3 system, but giving them an even more disappointment product that has even fewer features!

All of the magazines, newspapers, and websites are 100% correct when they always talk about how the Playstation 3 is such a HUGE disappointment!!!
