Favorite NPC

Outside of RPG's or complaining how your squad couldn't find their asses w/ both hands, NPC's are often overlooked.

I think good ones can really help the immersion factor, humor, or just general interest in playing a game.

1. Dogan and Boyd from psychonauts (hell practically all of them).
2. The Sergeant in Halo 2. I kind of overlooked him until coming across a list of his quotes, and he's actually kind of funny.

Sargeant Johnson on the Prophet Regret...
"Dear Humanity: We regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret the corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!"

Sarge after the Chief bites it...
"Funny, Cortana... now turn him back on."

And Sarge generally talking trash...
"I'm gonna mess you up so bad, you're gonna need someone to mess you back down!"
"Don't make me take off my belt!"

Although you play her for like 5 minutes in the entire game, the only reason you do is to tell you where to go. Mayu in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. She is one scary bitch.

and Thrall in World of Warcraft. :)

Oh yeah, quite possibly one of my favorite game characters of all time, is Revolver Ocelot, his role in MGS3 was great. :)

I also think Cortana is superb. She's just nerdy cool. Great companion for loser gamers. We're getting married next month.

So, yeah, I have nothing to add to the conversation, but I do like the NPCs in most Zelda games a lot. They always are keys to that next riddle.

HK is a great, NPC, forgot all about him. I also love the NPC's in Destroy All Humans, they say and think the funniest stuff.
