He's never going to fight again. He couldn't come back out for the 7th round (did he watch the Hatton/Taszyu fight last week?) and said after the fight when being interviewed "I don't have the heart/passion for it anymore". Then he was asked why he fought if he knew he didn't have it anymore - he simply replied "just to pay my bills" Fuck that - this shouldn't even have been a PPV (only thing that made it worthy was when this piece of crap tried to break McBride's arm in a hold, then headbutted him) and then to get paid tons of $ for it. Ridiculous and it's a shame that boxing is looked at mainly because of Tyson - while Hatton, Morales, Barrera, and Gatti are the classy ones who don't get the hype that this psycho does.

It seriously makes me wanna cry at how Tyson has gotten. I was listening to the commenetators and they said something how how he had problems that lead to all this. Does someone actually know the whole story or know where I could go to read up on this. Back when he was in his prime he looked exactly like my uncle and he was proud to look like him. But now he put an ugly ass tatoo on his face and just turned soft. So someone please fill me in, on what happened to him.. I watched it free so I aint mad :)

HBO did a movie about Tyson. It goes just alittle past when he lost to Buster Douglas (if I remember right) .. it pretty much shows how he went to the dark side (sorry for Star wars reference) and lost to Douglas.

It's really an old movie, I think I've seen it at Blockbuster before.

Tyson lost me a lot of money last night. It's simply amazing on how much he talked before the fight, he's all two-faced. Going into the fight he turned into some fucking princess and fucked everything up.

I read about his problems a little bit. First off this wives problems he had. He couldn't keep his anger in check and always fucked it up for himself..

Basically the guy is a psycho. When he was in his prime he had a manager that loved him and was able to channel his anger into boxing. That trainer died, and he ended up with Don King. Don King bent him over and fucked him up the ass. Then he goes to prison for rape. Comes out hooks back up with Don King, fights Holyfield, gets his ass whooped, bites, gets DQed. And well the rest is history.

It's ashame he was good back in the day. When he came out of prison he was a joke, washed up.

Yeah but here's the thing, now McBride actually has a future. There is nobody else he could have fought that would supercharge his career if he won than tyson. Well, that is why Tyson got paid more.

True - in a way. Danny Williams' win over Tyson at least led to a title shot vs. Vitali, which he got worked in (went down 4 times, if I remember right) and he hasn't done a thing since. I dunno, I just think that ever since he got out of prison (and found Allah as his savior) he hasn't been the same, and his management sure the hell didn't help.

Dude, I used to love Tyson. I had Mike Tyson's Punch out on the NES. I remember watching when I was a young kid the fight where Tyson came out and put Leon Spinks ass first on the floor in 91 seconds and 2 punches.
I remember when the next several fights were 90 second bouts and Iron Mike would put the lights out. He was the king of the ring. Then I think somewhere after Tyson's original trainer and mentor died and Don King got into the picture.. somewhere after he goes to the joint for roughing up Robin Givens, Mike takes a turn for the strange.
The very strange. It's like he never came back after loosing to Buster Douglas. It was the decline of him.. and he got weirder and weirder.

He's an awesome fighter, but he's slacking.. look at it, man. Biting Holyfield's ear? WTF is that? Remember him versus Lewis? Mike just ran into Lewis' jabs all night long until he fell over. He got sloppy and unmotivated.

It's sad.. and I can honestly say that heavyweight boxing isn't fun to watch anymore.
