What means more to you? What do you feel most passionately about? Which can you live with and live without?
I've been debating this with my friends and nobody could convince each other that one meant more than the other.
Personally, I don't know. Both are on the same level and I sometimes need both to get through my weeks. Plus they are co-depenent on one another. Most movies are driven by music and most music is greatly influenced by movies.
So I ask, what you guys think.

Hmm... that's tough.
Personally, music is more important than movies. I could probably live without movies, but not music. I listen to music everywhere I go plus I'm a choir jock, lol. Movies would definitely be different without music though, cuz they do stuff like set the tone and all that.

I would say it would have to music. Movies in themselves would suck without music playing in the background. Imagine how lame all of the star wars movies would have been without that music in the background.

Music is my life. Growing up in a musical family and becoming a musician myself, music has a deeper meaning than just entertainment. It's not something played in the background, it's not a distraction. Whether playing it or listening to it, I feel the music. It's such a personal thing.
Movies is just a form of entertaiment to me. Something I see every now and then.
Music and the appreciation of it is something I can pass on to my son, who at 5 years old is already expressing interest in it.

Music.
Movies can be replaced with books, music can't.

music. Movies are driven by great music. plus, listening to music all day is easier than watching movies all day.

It's more balanced for me, although tilted a little towards music. I love watching movies, either renting or at the theater, and I like going to the opening nights of big movies (Star Wars, Matrix, etc.). But music is so diverse, and not only is it in movies, it can be a key factor in games.

Music without a doubt, some movies are good but they are nothing without music.
I'd gladly be deaf over blind, eyesight is too important in our world.

Music doesnt mean anything to me; I have lots and sometimes listen, but Movies are where it's at for me.
Movies can make me think or feel alot more than music can.

I can't fathon what it would be like to not feel music. I can't comprehend what it would be like to live in a world were music isn't anything more than just a noise.
It's nothing against you, but when I see that.. I almost feel bad for you.
Movies are cool.. but music to me is like a form of communication, a form of feeling, an emotion.

This is a tough one but I have to say that movies mean more to me than music mainly because when I listen to music it doesnt move me emotionally as much as movies when I watch them. From what I hear the silent movies back in the day didnt suck. I dont think there was any music in the D-day scene in Saving Private Ryan and it was still very powerful stuff.

I'd have to say that music means alot more to me than movies. Wherever I am, whatever im doing im usually listening to music (except in school). If im doing homework, a project, playing on my xbox, or playing on my computer I am always listening to it. Sure, I also like watching movies, but without music I have no idea what I would do.

If you agree the music in movies is part of the movie  then I can easily live without music-
Movies are more emotional- no I dont cry- but the impact my life moreso than any songs-
Movies are cool.. but music to me is like a form of communication, a form of feeling, an emotion. I agree it can be, but like 99% of the time the communications is "Hey buy this CD so I can make a buck and maybe get some rep"
Musical story is far less compeling, intense, detailed, and relatable than a visual story
Shrew said what I feel, music cannot be replaced by books. but moveis can Beethoven went deaf and still composed- look into sheet music
Blind of Deaf? I would go deaf anyday over blindness.
I think vision is far more important and marvelous- step outside at night and usuing this sence you can connect with a celestial-body billions of lightyears away-
And then theres boobies- can't hear boobies
But you can see them in movies

Easy, music. I'm pretty picky about what I like, and most of what comes outta Hollywood anymore is garbage, IMO. You couldn't drag me to see some of this stuff. However, music I've always loved, and will continue to do so. It's the one medium that overwhelms me, as there is simply so much stuff out there I'd love to hear and collect.
